In case of any conflict or discrepancy between the English text of a Proclamation or of a rule, order or regulation made under a Proclamation and any translation thereof, the English text shall prevail.

7. Where there is any conflict or inconsistency between the provisions of any written law of the Straits Settlements and the provisions of any Froclamation or of any rule, order or regulation made under a Proclamation, the provisions of the latter shall prevail.
